IT Security Officer (m/w/d) at the Data Centre

The Data Centre (RZ) at the Universität der Bundeswehr München is a central service provider and strategic advisor for IT provision in teaching, research, and administration. It supports around 7,000 customers on campus and at four external sites in the Munich area. We are looking for a Project Information Security Officer (m/w/d) in full or part-time, limited to three years.

• Advise data centre management, specialist departments, and users on all matters related to information security

• Develop, maintain, and monitor security policies, IT emergency and information security concepts

• Actively support the design of IT processes and projects based on the "Security by Design" principle

• Conduct security and risk analyses as well as protection needs assessments and support their implementation

• Conduct information and awareness campaigns as well as training on information security

• Participate in the planning and selection of information security measures

• Prepare and support information security audits

• Completed university degree (Bachelor or FH) in information technology, computer science, information security, IT management or comparable

• At least two years of professional experience with legal and normative requirements for information security and data protection (e.g., GDPR, BSI Act, ISO 27001)

• Certifications such as CISSP or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer are an advantage

• Solid knowledge of security technologies (DNS, routing, VPN, firewalls, network security) is desirable

• Knowledge of project work and risk management is advantageous

• Strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and communication skills

• Willingness to undergo a security audit
