Language requirements

Intro

If you already have vocational training from your home country, want to restart your career, and improve your German language skills, we will prepare you for your entry into Deutsche Bahn together.

We are looking for you to join us as a skilled worker in track construction (m/f/d) as soon as possible.

You will receive a B2 language course and the option to qualify as a specialist in track construction at DB InfraGO AG in Bitterfeld. After that, you will start as a skilled worker in track construction and can optionally undergo our qualification program for specialist in track construction.

Description

  • First, you will complete a B2 language course and exam

  • During the qualification phase, you will learn the basics of the railway and important technical vocabulary

  • You will maintain tracks and rails

  • You will independently carry out inspection, maintenance, and repair work, for example on rails and sleepers

  • You will confidently handle machines and tools in track construction

  • You will always pay attention to the safety of your colleagues

  • Regular further training is also part of your daily routine – enabling you to continually learn

Requirements

  • You have completed training, e.g., as a construction worker, steelworker, concrete builder, metalworker, mason, locksmith, mechanic, or welder – or a degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics

  • Your training is partially recognized in Germany – we will help you gain full recognition

  • Valuable but not essential: experience in track construction or the construction industry

  • You are willing to work shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) and enjoy working outdoors

  • German at a B1 level is good. You can also apply with A2 – we will find a way forward together

  • You already have a German Class B driving licence, or you are willing to convert your licence

  • You are highly motivated to learn both linguistically and technically

  • You enjoy physical work and working in a team

Required driving license

  • Car (B, BF17, BE)
