Intro
If you already have vocational training from your home country, want to restart your career, and wish to improve your German language skills, we will prepare you for your entry at Deutsche Bahn.
We are looking for you to start as soon as possible as an Electronics Technician in Control and Safety Technology (m/f/d) in Leutkirch im Allgäu or Kempten (Allgäu) with the aim of qualifying as a Signal Mechanic and a prior B2 language course.
After successfully completing the language qualification, the professional qualification for full recognition of your vocational degree will follow in a qualification center. Then, you'll start as an Electronics Technician in Control and Safety Technology and complete our professional qualification programme to become a Signal Mechanic.
Description
First, you'll complete a B2 language course with an exam
During the qualification phase, you'll learn the basics of the railway and important technical terms
You will work with electronic components such as signals and switches – you'll also get to know the mechanical parts
At your location, you'll inspect and maintain various control and safety systems
You will manage electrical systems both indoors and outdoors, primarily outdoors
You will resolve disruptions to track systems and write reports about them
From your base, you'll collect materials, equipment, and your vehicle to drive to the work sites
Requirements
You have completed training, e.g., as an electronics technician for industrial engineering, automation technology, electrical installation, mechatronics, or a degree in electrical engineering
Your training is already partially recognised in Germany – we will help you with full recognition
Beneficial but not essential: work experience in electronics
German at level B1 is good. You can also apply with A2 – we will figure out the next steps together
You already have a German Class B driving licence, or you are ready to have your licence converted
You are comfortable working outdoors, and you are reliable, a team player, and flexible
After training, you are ready for on-call duty, including weekends and occasionally at night
You are highly motivated to learn both linguistically and technically
