Description

The Ecumenical Hospice Service in Bad Arolsen is a small hospice service in Northern Hesse. We support outpatient hospice care in North Waldeck. Our service area includes six residential facilities. Although we are ecumenically oriented, our outlook is open and tolerant. Our volunteer staff accompany seriously ill and dying individuals with their families and friends, regardless of age, origin, religion, or belief. For us, hospice means integrating dying, death, and grief back into life and helping ensure that this final stage in a person's life can be lived with dignity.

We are therefore looking for a

Coordinator of Outpatient Hospice Work (m/f/d)

with a 50% workload.

Remuneration is according to AVR.KW.

Requirements:

• Training in nursing, higher education in social pedagogy/social work or nursing, or equivalent qualification • Several years of professional experience in the learnt profession • Basic course in Palliative Care under SGB V §39a (160 teaching hours) • Course under SGB V §39a for coordination and leadership skills or willingness to complete it (120 hours of training within the first six months of employment) • Experience in hospice work desirable • Ability to work in a team and good interpersonal skills • Independent, committed approach to work • Willingness to work flexible hours and to take on the on-call phone • IT skills

Your tasks:

The coordinator's field of activity includes: • Recruitment, qualification, and deployment of volunteers according to the concept • Coordinating the deployment of volunteer staff for end-of-life care in the home environment and in several cooperating residential care facilities • Psychosocial support for the dying and their families in the home environment • Palliative care advice for seriously ill and dying people, their relatives, as well as the nursing services and general practitioners involved in their care • Maintaining and developing a network between the outpatient hospice service and other services (hospitals, general practitioners, SAPV teams, care services, etc.) • Participation in public relations • Handling administrative tasks
