We in wastewater diversion ensure the removal of sewage and rainwater from the entire Berlin area to the treatment plants. We construct, operate, and maintain our sewers, waste water pressure lines, and pumping stations.

Description

What you'll be doing with us

  • Perform maintenance work on suction and retention areas and eliminate inflow disruptions in pumping stations

  • Clean inflow constructions and other basins and structures

  • Check the ambient atmosphere for safety through gas-technical measurements

  • Ensure safety measures in gas-hazardous areas

  • Conduct technical maintenance of pumping station facilities in gas-hazardous areas and partially at shaft pumping stations

  • Inspect obligatory facilities in pumping stations located in gas-hazardous areas

  • Supervise pumping station construction measures in gas-hazardous areas (unlocking, gas releases, personnel safety)

Requirements

Your qualifications

  • Completed training as a wastewater technology specialist

  • Alternatively: Completed technical vocational training as a sewer specialist, supply and disposal technician, pipeline constructor, water supply technician, or specialist for industrial service or plumbing, heating, and air conditioning technician

  • Knowledge of the pumping station sector, environmental protection, and occupational safety

  • In-depth knowledge of wastewater disposal systems from an operational perspective

  • Required: Valid driving licence Class C1

  • Desirable: Crane training

  • Physical resilience, suitable for breathing protection as per G26.3

  • Teamwork capability and reliability

Required driving license

  • Truck (C, CE, C1, C1E)

We offer remuneration in pay group 5 according to the Collective Agreement for Utility Companies (TV-V). Depending on personal qualifications, classification may occur in a lower pay group. Additionally, a bonus is paid according to TV-V.
