50Hertz is driving the expansion of the grid for the energy transition. You are responsible for electricity trading in the short and long term time range and support the development of IT solutions to optimize processes in the trading team (in-house development).
💻 Your tasks💻
• Control and optimization of trading in futures, day-ahead and intraday trading to manage the balancing groups for which the front office is responsible in three-shift operation (24/7),
• Introduction and implementation of new trading processes, in particular driven by regulatory requirements and new legal provisions,
• Communication and reporting of operational process key figures as well as planning and project progress in the specialist area,
• Collaboration on interdisciplinary and cross-divisional projects,
• Interdisciplinary cooperation with the Regulatory Services team. If required, assumption of responsibility for control energy auctions.
👨💻 Your profile 👩💻
• Completed studies in electrical engineering, energy technology/economics, physics, economics or comparable,
• Very good knowledge of English (written and spoken), business fluent (C1),
• Basic knowledge of German (written and spoken),
• Due to the work in a system-critical environment, the security check of the BND must be passed.
Not a must, but an advantage:
• Knowledge of French,
• Extensive programming experience in Python, VBA or SQL is welcome.
