Official Veterinarian in Veterinary Medicine and Consumer Protection (m/f/d)

• Support with consumer protection issues, such as food, consumer goods, tobacco products, and cosmetics

• Implementation of control tasks according to EC Regulation 2073/2005 in artisanal businesses

• Monitoring of private and commercial pet and horse holdings according to animal welfare law

• Examination and certification of animals and goods in national, EU, and international trade

• Implementation of measures to combat animal diseases

• Participation in the animal disease crisis centre

• Licence to practise as a veterinarian

• Qualification for the official veterinary service is desirable but not mandatory

• Willingness to participate in a weekly rotating on-call duty for official veterinarians

• Driving licence Class B or Class 3

• Willingness to use a private car for official purposes with mileage allowance

• Fluent German skills

• Citizen-oriented manner and strong commitment

• Decisiveness, negotiation skills, willingness to cooperate, and assertiveness
