The Block Group stands for strong brands, lived values, and entrepreneurial tradition. It includes 18 companies from the sectors of system catering, hospitality, and food production – including BLOCK HOUSE, Jim Block, the Grand Elysée Hamburg, BLOCKBRÄU, as well as our own butchery. Block Head College GmbH acts within the group as a service company for personnel marketing, selection, and development. We see HR as a service organisation and a strong partner in the company – with clear processes, defined responsibilities, and a high standard of quality, culture, and collaboration. For this exciting transformation process, we are looking for an experienced HR Generalist (m/f/d) who helps shape operational excellence while also driving the development of our HR work.

You will be the central contact for a defined group of employees and manage HR comprehensively along the employee lifecycle.
You will support employees and managers on all personnel-related issues, optimise onboarding and offboarding processes, and work closely with payroll accounting.
In recruitment, you will control and further develop processes, engage in active sourcing, optimise selection procedures, and help strengthen our employer branding.
In the Learning & Development area, you will design and implement development programmes, conduct needs analyses, and support training and leadership development measures, including structured feedback processes.
Additionally, you will actively shape our values-oriented corporate culture, accompany change processes, advise on leadership and team issues, and further develop modern HR tools and structures.
What we are looking for:
Completed commercial training with HR further education (e.g., IHK HR Specialist) or a comparable degree
Several years of experience as an HR Generalist with solid practice in HR operations and payroll-related processes
Experience in recruitment and personnel development
Confidence in dealing with labour law issues and executives at different levels
Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
Excellent communication and advisory skills
You also bring enthusiasm for further developing structures, setting impulses in the areas of Learning & Development, as well as People & Culture, and actively participating in our HR realignment.
Interested? Then we should definitely get to know each other!
We offer you:
Exciting, responsible, and varied tasks
The opportunity to utilise your skills optimally and develop both professionally and personally
The chance to be actively part of our HR realignment and help shape the establishment of a modern HR organisation
