Intro
THRIVE by Kiron is a free online upskilling program for women and non-binary individuals with displacement experience living in Germany. You build digital and AI skills, get the opportunity to specialize in machine learning or project management, improve your German or English for work, and get support for your job search—flexible and at your own pace.
Description
Take part in the mandatory 3-week foundation track (AI literacy, professional skills, workplace readiness)
Learn online at your own pace and join scheduled live sessions for extra support
Use ongoing German or English language courses and live practice sessions for the workplace
Join career coaching and monthly workshops to build job-readiness skills
Use job search support such as CV reviews, application feedback, job fairs, and employer networking events
Optional: apply for a specialization in machine learning or project management after the foundation track (selection is competitive)
In the specialization: complete portfolio projects and earn certifications
Requirements
You live in Germany (up to 10% of participants may come from Austria or Switzerland)
You are a woman or a non-binary individual with displacement experience (e.g., refugee, asylum seeker, temporary protection, or migrant)
At least B1 English (and preferably B1 German)
You can commit 5 hours per week for 6 months
At least 1 year of work experience related to your preferred pathway
For Machine Learning specialization: working knowledge of Python (e.g., common data structures, NumPy/Pandas) and at least 1 year of professional experience working with data
For Project Management specialization: at least 1 year of experience in project coordination, operations, product, or business roles and interest in using AI tools

Machine Learning: Embedded certification by the Applied AI Institute for Europe + micro-credentials from DataCamp
Project Management: CAPM by PMI + micro-credentials from PMI
