What to expect:
- Planning and implementation of a project funded by the BMFTR as part of the “T!RAUM – Transferräume für die Zukunft von Regionen” program, in which the biomarker quarter milk cell count is to be tested for practical suitability in dairy cow herds of the RinderAllianz
- Creation of a practice-validated action plan for dairy farms to prevent diseases through targeted early detection and specific management
- Data analysis, statistical evaluation
- Documentation of research results, handling of standard software and electronic information systems
- Writing manuscripts for publication in international peer-reviewed journals
What to bring:
- University degree in veterinary medicine, agriculture, biology, or related fields
- Interest in deciphering the connections between genetics and physiology
- Basic knowledge of statistical data analysis
- Enthusiasm for working with farm animals
- Class B driver's license and willingness to travel (business trips)
- German language skills are a prerequisite
- Excellent English skills (spoken and written), with the ability to present and publish research results
- High motivation and willingness to work in a team, as well as the ability to work independently
