Construction Manager in Cross-Media Network Construction (m/f/d)

In the Planning and Construction - Networks area, we are responsible for the planning, tendering, and construction management of all drinking water supply lines, wastewater pressure lines, channels, stormwater and combined sewage storage basins, and outlets in Berlin.

What You'll Be Doing with Us

• Taking responsibility for the local site supervision of particularly complex engineering construction projects in cross-media network construction, with a focus on construction budget, timelines, quality of execution, and adherence to technical standards

• Confidently coordinating the execution of construction measures as the client representative with authorities, construction companies, and other stakeholders involved in the construction (residents, etc.)

• Assuming building inspection duties, such as the acceptance of reinforced concrete structures

• Taking over the construction management for complex engineering projects in cross-media network construction when local site supervision is provided by external construction management offices

What You Bring

• University degree (Bachelor) in Civil Engineering with a focus on civil engineering or urban water management and relevant practical knowledge

• Alternatively: University degree (Bachelor) in Industrial Engineering (Construction) with solid practical knowledge

• Extensive knowledge and experience in supervising complex construction projects in urban civil engineering, particularly in the construction of water supply and wastewater disposal networks

• Thorough knowledge of construction law, the Fee Structure for Architects and Engineers (HOAI), contract law (VOB, VgV)

• Basic knowledge in road construction and waste management

• Desirable: Knowledge of the internal regulations of Berliner Wasserbetriebe and ASS, as well as knowledge of the Infrest platform

• Driving licence class B

• Presentation skills for showcasing construction and project status

• Leadership and moderation of construction and start-up meetings with the institutions involved in a network construction measure (construction companies, regulatory authorities, other network operators)

Salary

We offer compensation at pay group 11 according to the Collective Agreement for Utilities (TV-V). Depending on personal qualifications, classification may also be in a lower pay group.
