Intro

We in wastewater disposal are responsible for directing waste and stormwater from the entire Berlin city area to the treatment plants. We build, operate, and maintain our sewers, wastewater pressure pipes, and pumping stations.

Description

What you will achieve with us

  • Utilising special techniques (e.g., asphalt cookers, rotary cutting machines) in drainage systems for repair works. This includes actions such as:

  • Carrying out demolition and chipping work at the damaged site

  • Installing and removing fall protection steps in access shafts (combined, stormwater, and sewerage systems)

  • Constructing shaft masonry for repairs

  • Executing the installation and modifications of shaft bases and benches

  • Adjusting and renewing shaft covers and street inlets

  • Performing paving works and closure of roadway surfaces

  • Carrying out repair work in walkable sewers

  • Securing construction sites in traffic areas

Requirements

What you bring

  • Completed training as a sewer construction worker with solid knowledge of relevant tasks or as a civil engineering technician specialising in sewer construction work

  • Alternatively: Completed training as a construction technician or road builder with solid knowledge in relevant tasks

  • Knowledge of wastewater disposal systems

  • Knowledge of paving works and roadway surface construction

  • Strong expertise in civil and sewer construction and in securing worksites

  • Knowledge of the relevant software (e.g., UBI, Geographic Information System)

  • Required: Class B driving licence

  • Desirable: Class C1E driving licence

  • High customer orientation, strong teamwork skills, and reliability

Compensation

We offer a salary in pay group 6 according to the Collective Agreement for Municipal Services (TV-V). Depending on personal qualifications, classification in a lower pay group may also occur.

Additionally, an allowance is paid according to TV-V.
