: Project Associate (Interpretation & Translation) (m/f/d)

Strengthen our team as a Project Associate (Interpretation & Translation) and help ensure clear, accurate communication for our diverse beneficiaries in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

💬 Your Responsibilities 💬

• Provide precise interpretation and translation services in-person, by phone, or video, without paraphrasing, summarizing, or altering content
• Maintain confidentiality according to IOM policies, including destruction or maintenance of notes per required guidelines
• Ensure objectivity, impartiality, and respect when interacting with people of varied backgrounds, treating all parties with courtesy and respect
• Recognize and respect cultural and linguistic nuances, including preferred pronouns of beneficiaries
• Participate in training on interpretation for international organizations and assist in developing terminology lists
• Be available for quality evaluations by third-party reviewers if needed
• Perform additional duties as assigned

👩‍💼 Your Profile 👨‍💼

• 3 years of experience in translation/interpretation, ideally with migrants, refugees, and vulnerable groups
• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Languages, Political Science, International Relations, or similar; or a high school diploma with 4 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge and skills in translation and interpretation between required languages (English and Pashto)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with diverse cultural backgrounds

🎉 Entry Lump Sum: USD 400
