What to expect:
- Planning and conducting feeding and respiration chamber experiments with black soldier fly larvae and broiler chickens and performing feed and lab analyses
- Conducting feed and laboratory analyses
- Development of a database for non-edible plant biomass in a European network
- Data analysis, statistical evaluation
- Writing manuscripts for peer-reviewed international journals
- Involvement in an European project
- Supervision of Master and Bachelor students
What to bring:
- Graduation and doctorate in animal science/ agricultural science/ veterinary medicine/ biology (zoology) ore comparable
- Knowledge about farmed animal physiology, nutrition or feed science and hands-on experience in insect biology or poultry science
- Practical experience in laboratory analysis
- Experience in statistical data analysis, as well as in preparing scientific publications and reports.
- Very good publication record/ Initial experience in acquiring third-party funding
- National and international networking in the field of farm animal physiology and nutrition
- Commitment and team spirit
