The Nutritional Physiology working group has a vacancy for a

Scientist / Postdoc (m/f/d)

What to expect:

  • Planning and conducting feeding and respiration chamber experiments with black soldier fly larvae and broiler chickens and performing feed and lab analyses
  • Conducting feed and laboratory analyses
  • Development of a database for non-edible plant biomass in a European network
  • Data analysis, statistical evaluation
  • Writing manuscripts for peer-reviewed international journals
  • Involvement in an European project
  • Supervision of Master and Bachelor students  

What to bring:

  • Graduation and doctorate in animal science/ agricultural science/ veterinary medicine/ biology (zoology) ore comparable
  • Knowledge about farmed animal physiology, nutrition or feed science and hands-on experience in insect biology or poultry science
  • Practical experience in laboratory analysis
  • Experience in statistical data analysis, as well as in preparing scientific publications and reports.
  • Very good publication record/ Initial experience in acquiring third-party funding
  • National and international networking in the field of farm animal physiology and nutrition
  • Commitment and team spirit
