We are Kaleris, a globally positioned software company with the aim of connecting and supporting worldwide supply chains through our software. At multiple locations in the USA, India, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and Europe, we develop state-of-the-art cloud-based application software in the field of Terminal Operating Systems, Yard Management, Shipment Tracking, Asset Management, Sea Transport, and Ship Operations. Located in Flensburg, in the northern part of Germany, we are responsible for the product areas of loading computers and stowage planning systems, which play a crucial role in global maritime transport. We count the largest liner shipping companies and ship managers among our customers. Additionally, in recent years, we have expanded our product range to help our customers reduce the emissions of their vessels and comply with legal requirements. Throughout the next years we will build not only the next generation loading computer but also invest into the broader Connected Cargo Ecosystem to emphasize the collaboration between carriers, terminals and vessel managers. To execute on this strategic roadmap in close collaboration with our global customer base we are seeking for a Sr. Product Manager to join our team. How you’ll contribute as a Product Manager Collaborating closely with lighthouse customers, you will identify and prioritize market requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of industry needs. You'll drive strategic initiatives, maintaining a well-defined backlog of user stories to guide implementation. Partnering with QA Engineers, you'll develop test strategies for new features, ensuring quality and reliability. By working alongside scrum teams, you'll ensure a clear understanding of product requirements, fostering the best design decisions. Your involvement in the downstream implementation process will drive customer success, while continuous monitoring of market trends will keep Navis ahead of industry shifts. Engaging with key stakeholders across the company, you'll facilitate seamless product releases and manage a product backlog that details technical specifications for advanced features. With a keen understanding of how customer demands influence technology choices, you'll identify opportunities to enhance and expand product offerings, shaping the future of the product. What do you ideally bring with you? Due to the nature of the position, two different sets of requirements are applicable. On the one hand, a strong domain background is crucial – on the other hand, you should have the classical product management skills. The following are the key requirements: Strong domain background in shipping and logistics, especially experience with loading computer and/or stowage planning solutions. 1-3 years relevant experience in defining, building, and delivering successful products.
