The job
We are seeking a highly motivated student to join our team as a student/scientific assistant (f/m/x) to work in a laboratory or pilot plant to carry out experiments with bacterial cultures in bioreactors. The work will take place at Deutsches Biomasseforschungszentrum (DBFZ).
Your tasks
- Feeding bioreactors with substrate (biomass)
- Harvesting of fermentation liquid
- Process analysis (TS/oTS, acid spectrum (HPLC), pH value, gas production and composition (GC))
- Data logging and evaluation according to instructions
- Processing of the fermentation liquid to separate fermentation products

Your profile
- An undergraduate or graduate degree (Bachelor's or Master's degree) in the natural or engineering sciences with a focus on biotechnology or chemistry
- Laboratory experience
- Ability to lift containers weighing 15 kg desirable
- Independent and reliable way of working
