About us

With more than 4,000 experts across 12 countries and over a billion transactions every year, Riverty is reshaping financial solutions for a new era.
Our roots go back to the 1960s, when the originating company was founded as a financial extension to Bertelsmann’s printing services for publishers. Over the decades, the business expanded internationally, evolving from classical B2B factoring into a broad portfolio including fraud prevention, credit services, receivables management, debt collection, and Buy Now Pay Later solutions. In 2022, these strengths were united under one shared ambition and one name: Riverty.

Today, we are a FinTech company driven by a clear mission — enabling financial freedom for everyone. We start with the real needs, behaviors, and challenges of consumers and businesses. By combining technology, data, and smart process design, we create human-centric financial products that make transactions seamless, fair, and accessible.

Our solutions cover the full transactional cycle: from flexible payment options and intelligent accounting to responsible debt collection. We support people in everyday moments — shopping online, using mobility services, or paying in instalments — while helping our partners grow sustainably. Our goal is not only to facilitate trade, but to actively include more people in the economic cycle through financial technology.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion are integral to how we work. We believe diverse perspectives unlock innovation and strengthen collaboration. Across our international footprint — from Oslo to Vienna, from Amsterdam to Tallinn — we foster an open, respectful culture where everyone can contribute and grow.
At Riverty, we are more than a fintech company. We are a global community of creators, explorers, and innovators united by a shared purpose: empowering financial growth for everyone.

Our values

At Riverty, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) is more than a social responsibility — it is a strategic driver of our success. We believe that the differences between us — whether in origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical or mental abilities, religious beliefs, or worldview — enrich our collaboration and strengthen our performance when united by a common goal.

Diversity unlocks potential. It broadens perspectives, sparks innovation, and enables us to develop better, more sustainable solutions to complex challenges. By embracing different experiences and viewpoints, we foster creativity and continuously learn from one another. For us, inclusion means creating an environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to contribute fully.

We are committed to building a workplace culture defined by openness, tolerance, and mutual respect. Fair opportunities, supportive structures, and a genuine sense of belonging are essential to how we work together. We actively seek to identify and remove systemic barriers so that every individual has the freedom to shape their own path.

Our commitment is reflected in our actions. We signed the German Diversity Charter in 2019 and have since regularly participated in German Diversity Day initiatives. We are also proud signatories of the Estonian and Austrian Diversity Charters. Our efforts have been recognized with top rankings in the PRIDE Index (2021 and 2022) and the prestigious Max Spohr Prize for our LGBTIQ+ commitment.

Through our employee networks and engagement initiatives — from Pride activities to our Women of Expertise series — we create spaces for dialogue, visibility, and empowerment.

We know that fostering inclusion is an ongoing journey. While we continue to grow and learn, one thing is clear: diversity is not only part of who we are — it is the foundation of how we succeed together.

We all want to feel we matter and can shape our own story. We’re building a workplace where everyone belongs and has fair opportunities.
