Mobile Social Advisor (m/f/d) for Refugees

Do you want to support refugees and assist them in their daily lives? At WIB-Verbund, you work in an open team and help people with mental health challenges find the appropriate support.

You will support our team in the "SafePoint Pankow" project part-time (18 hours/week), initially limited until 31.12.2026:

• You will offer regular clearing consultation hours in accommodations for refugees in the Pankow district.

• You will establish contact with refugees with mental health problems.

• You will provide advice on psychosocial assistance and, if necessary, make further referrals.

• You will accompany refugees to authorities or additional support services.

• You will support both professional and volunteer helpers in accommodations in working with residents facing psychological challenges. 

• You will contribute to networking and public relations work, as well as the development of new offerings in the "SafePoint" project.

• You have a degree in Social Work, Education, or a comparable field 

• OR vocational training with additional pedagogical qualification 

• OR experience in dealing with the clientele and knowledge of the support system through, for example, voluntary work, peer counselling, etc.

• You have very good language skills in Arabic, Farsi, Dari, Kurdish etc., as well as very good English skills (at least level B2).

• You possess strong intercultural competence, communication skills, and empathy. 

• Ideally, you have already gained experience in working with people with a refugee or migration background and those experiencing psychological stress or illness.
